Goblin Serum

Our team developed a bold packaging system for Goblin Serum, a high-caffeine pre-workout brand built to capture the raw energy and confidence of young men aged 18–25. The creative direction focused on expressing intensity, attitude, and control through clean geometry, vibrant color, and a strong visual rhythm. The project included both a 12 oz can and a 6-pack carrier designed to maintain consistency and presence across every shelf display.

Overview

This project involved creating a packaging solution for the brand Goblin Serum. Our team focused on developing a design system for a 12 oz can plus a 6-pack carrier, intended to house multiple flavors of pre-workout / energy drinks. The target demographic is primarily young men ages 18–25.

Process

We began with an in-depth exploration of brand strategy and positioning to define how Goblin Serum should look and feel within a crowded supplement market. Our designers translated the concept of “going goblin” into a visual identity that communicates boldness without relying on the typical gym or supplement tropes. Once the foundation was established, we designed the 12 oz can, experimenting with structure, proportion, and texture to convey a sense of movement and precision. The final stage involved extending the design language to a 6-pack carrier that unified the brand’s shelf presence while reinforcing its energetic character.

Outcome

The final system captures the balance between discipline and chaos that defines the Goblin Serum brand. Every detail, from typography to layout, supports a clear message of controlled energy and modern performance. The result is a packaging identity that stands out in the sports nutrition category and provides a scalable foundation for future product lines.
