Overview
As part of an interior renovation with Mead & Hunt, FNT sought to refresh its branding to better resonate with the local community, reflect core values, and engage its visitors on arrival. Our team was brought on to analyze the existing brand architecture, develop a new logo, and craft supporting brand elements.
Process
Research & Diagnostic Working alongside Mead & Hunt, we analyzed FNT’s existing brand expression and conducted primary and secondary research. This allowed us to understand perceptions of the airport, community expectations, and opportunities to reinforce regional identity. Concept Development We explored multiple logomark directions, color schemes, typography systems, and supporting symbols. Throughout the design process, we emphasized boldness and accessibility—qualities meant to align with the brand promise that FNT offers “not the only way to fly; just a better one.” Iteration & Refinement After selecting a direction, our team refined layouts, adjusted weight and spacing, and tested color hierarchies. We ensured the brand elements could flex across applications (signage, digital, print) while retaining coherence and clarity. Implementation & Rollout We delivered a full branding package including the final logo, color palette, typography rules, and usage guidelines. We also collaborated with Mead & Hunt’s implementation team to apply the new identity across touchpoints such as signage, social media, and wayfinding.
Outcome
The rebrand gives FNT a more modern, inviting, and trustworthy presence. It helps the airport connect its core mission and values with the Flint community, and visually signals to visitors that FNT is a refined, considered alternative. The branding now supports consistency across platforms and cements the airport’s narrative of being “a better way to fly.”
